During that time, algae thrived in the tropical humidty and covered the walls with red and black streaks. Apparently the complex served as the setting for the horror movie Haunted Hotel and of course like every large, semi-abandoned building complex that makes noises unfamiliar to people used to hearing a bustling city, it's claimed that the place really is haunted.
